Columbia, SC, July 2024 – Comedian, writer, and producer Akintunde is urging churches to embrace the power of original content creation as a key component of their outreach strategies. The award-winning entertainer made this bold statement while promoting the launch of his new "Joke Farm" record label and unveiling an ambitious slate of television projects from his WF Media Group imprint.
"I believe Churches today should treat traditional media, social media, and original content creation as an intricate part of their ministry strategy," Akintunde emphasized. "If a church has a strong outreach mandate to reach the lost, then, they must utilize content creation as part of their outreach strategy."
Akintunde's comments come as he embarks on a media tour ahead of his highly anticipated appearances at the 39th Annual Stellar Awards. He will serve as a presenter and production host at the prestigious event, and also make a special appearance on the first Stellar-sanctioned comedy show set for Friday night. The busy weekend will culminate with Akintunde scheduled to appear at two churches on Sunday morning.
